Uhm, oops... Sorry for the inactivity here at Old Road. I've been telling myself to blog here but I've never really had the time to bother. Well life has been quite grand lately and I shall summarise it in a few dot points: - I finished high school.
- I've been busy partying.
- I've been busy studying.
- Exams start on Thursday.
- Eating avocado Sushi... Mmm...
So there you have it, five dot points pretty much sum up what I've been up to. I cannot wait till the exams are over too! After the exams I'll be: - Waiting for University offers.
- Waiting for that New Zealand trip.
As online activities goes, I have decided that as of next year, I will probably not spend as much time on my fan sites and working at Transfixx Productions. I'm really looking forward to next year as a whole new life begins then. So yay! So anyway, toodaloo! | | |

Bloody hell it's hot! The spring season has slowly been heating up and I can't bloody well stand it, lol. I'm usually quite good with hot weather but lately, I've been struggling to stay focused in the heat.
But anyway, you may have noticed the inactivity in this LiveJournal of mine; do not fear, I've just been unable to think of anything to blog about. Lately school has been rather sluggish, that being trial exams, exam feedbacks and all that rubbish. I got some of my trial exams back today and I must say, I'm rather disappointed with all my subjects, so that really means one thing -- I need to study! Maths and English in particular. However, I finish highschool in one week! Next week's Tuesday, marks my final day of high school! After that, the REAL exams flow in and then I'm done forever!... with high school that is, haha. I'm rather excited, but like I said, I need to study AND get myself a graduation formal dress *sigh*.
Moving along, I have decided to open a collective! With all my fan sites and misc sites, I thought it'd be fun to open a small collective to list all my sites. I might even add a blog site there, who knows... I get bored with sites easily, particularly personal sites, coz well, they're plain boring... especially when I run them. However, my friend Sara is purchasing the domain for me and once I get things rolling, I'll let you all know.
As for TXX Production updates, I have been sending rejection emails to orders I cannot do; mainly reason is time and the image quality in which people have provided are poor or difficult to work with. If you didn't receive an email then somethings screwed with my email... I might be Thunderbird... I'll have to get that checked.
But anyway, it's late, I need to get some homework done... so excuse me :) Take care. | | |

Finally, I was able to get the download site up, though there is only one set of brushes there - better than nothing. Updates for the brush site will be made here under the tag "downloads". Hi everyone!
How are we all? All good I hope. Well here's my first blog for October, yay. Anyway, as usual I've been working on my sites and designing for those who have ordered. I have quite a fair amount of orders, I didn't expect that much, so I'm sorta freaking out with the whole sending out layouts in time. So, I'm sorry if your layout has taken awhile to arrive.
Well, in the early hours in the afternoon, I made my first voice blog and I've posted it at my private LiveJournal - sorry if you're not added there! After listening to myself, I realise how stupid I actually sound, haha. I might make a voice blog here in the future... but not soon, because I feel quite uncomfortable having strangers listening to me speak, haha.
But anyway, I think I might go off and have a bit of a rest, I feel sorta sick for some reason... Take care! | | |

I am happy to announce that as of tomorrow, my Internet will be back to it's usual speedy self. For the last fortnight, the Internet was capped, therefore lagged miserably. It literally took forever to load anything, particularly images, it got so annoyed that I simply couldn't be bothered returning emails, haha. But like I said, tomorrow it should be working fine. So yay! Well today, I went to the movies with my friend Jasmine; together we saw " Hairspray". The movie was fantastic! "Hairspray" kicked off with a fantastic upbeat song and the songs came rolling in frequently, it was a really fun movie to watch. It stars new upcoming actress, Nikki Blonsky, she had a fantastic singing voice and was full of energy too. And to my surprise, Amanda Bynes had several singing parts and her voice was not that bad! I didn't realise she could sing, but she did it very well. And of course, John Travolta in his big fat suit was fantastic, but then again, JT is fantastic in everything. So, out of 10, I'd give the movie a 9. If you have not yet seen the movie, I suggest you do! But to a more miserable side of the blog, tomorrow I have a three hour class at school revising for IT Applications. The teacher had decided to have a class during the holidays so we could all revise for the upcoming trial exam next week and for the actual exam in November. I'm not looking forward to the end-year exams, but of course I'll need to study as they pretty much determine whether I go to University or not. If you had not known yet, I'm about to finish high school, so have been busy with University applications and whatnot. Well, this blog has been pretty much just rubbish, haha. Well hello there! You have just landed yourself at Tran's public LiveJournal account. For those who know my other LiveJournal, please don't delete that, as I actually still use it for private posts. I suppose I could also post private entries here and lock them from non-online friends, but then... I couldn't be bothered.
Anyway, it took me probably two freaking days to get myself a username that I am slightly pleased with. I was hoping to have "fallohide" or "mithril", but of course, neither was available - either it was on its process to deletion or someone had already taken the username (and not use it for years). I really wanted a username that was very Lord of the Rings influenced, but of course, finding one was quite difficult considering a lot of LOTR fans had already taken the good usernames -shun them.
So, as I was looking through my LOTR book (the tie-in edition, published 2002), I came across "old road" and thought I'd give it a try and viola! It worked, but of course, I had desired other usernames such as "vilya" or "nenya". So, if you're wondering where on earth "[the] Old Road" was mentioned in the novel, flick to page 182 in the edition I mentioned previously:
"Beneath them on this southern side there ran like a ribbon the Old Road, coming out of the West and winding up and down, until it faded behind the ridge of dark land to the east." So there you have it. Before opening an LJ account, I tried VOX, but of course, the ugly ads on VOX drove me away. The only thing that bugs me the most about LJ is that when non-LJers comment, they are anonymous. So, if you are not registered with LJ, please leave your name and URL so I can return your comments!
Well, anyway, enough of that. I should really "blog" about what I have been up to. The answer is quite simple; nothing. My Internet has unfortunately capped it's arse off, therefore, I couldn't complete any design orders that I have received over the week. You wouldn't believe how long it took me to edit this LJ account, registering took almost 10 minutes - God I hate slow Internet. So! If you have ordered and wonder why on Earth I have not yet replied, it's simply due to my Internet, as always, I'm sorry. But seriously, my brother and I have wanted to upgrade our Internet plan and wanted to go with ADSL2+, but it's for - some stupid reason - is unavailable in our area, so, we pretty much gave up on searching for another Internet provider.
However, enough rambling from me for one day. I want to head off and do some reading - geek much? Haha. Reading's great. Try it! | | |
